Daylight is getting slightly longer and I cannot wait until Winter slips away again! Its been a tough Winter month both professionally and personally and I hope for this year to be full of productivity and possibly more sunshine!
INSPIRATION ON MY TRAVELS: I have not been away anywhere abroad this month as I am moving so I can travel more and in all the chaos I have been to a gig that really was very heart felt to listen to. It gave me the inspiration to go home and create some images on how I personally feel right now. Check out the song as it was very special to hear a father sing about his children live without a microphone. Very nice moment.
IDEAS, MEDIUMS, RECOMMENDATIONS: I am loving this water colour paper CLICK HERE TO BUY and these awesome inks are what I have been using lately with my therapeutic pieces of artwork. I love the way the ink drips and are so permanent! CLICK HERE TO BUY I also like using mediums that are not too expensive when I am experimenting as I always seem to worry about wasting materials which then defeats the whole object of trying to be free flowing with what you are producing even if it does end up becoming 100 sheets of studies!!
PROGRESS OF MY OWN ARTWORK: I have been having fun experimenting with my own emotions this month and its been quite therapeutic. Im really big on emotions at the moment and seeing how i can channel them and use them in my own work. I think i will concentrate on the whole body next as I love the line, shape and form of the human body. It is so beautiful and real. What you see is what you get unless its PhotoShopped! :( In these pieces below i was mainly concentrating on time, fear and pain which was quite intense! ;)
