Contents: Inspired by artist; Oenone Hammersley, we are starting our art course with an exciting project based on jungle animals; creating a tiger, Panda, gecko, crocodile, frog and parrot with stunning bright colourful backgrounds.

Materials: High quality A2 think paper, watercolour pencils and acrylic paint.

Learning outcomes: Children will learn about colour mixing, proportion of the animal, tone, line, composition, texture, sketching and painting applications. Blending techniques, shapes and material application.

ARTIST:Born in England in 1957 and now living in Florida, USA. Oenone Hammersley, an internationally recognized mixed-media artist known for her bold use of colour, texture, and light. Her nature-inspired paintings—especially her vivid depictions of water—are powerful visual statements about the beauty of our planet and the urgent need for environmental protection.

Learning outcomes: Children will learn how to create a 3D sculpture whilst incorporating a painting using the influence of Hammersley to produce a jungle and animals within the jungle! Material

Emmylou is a professional artist who has been teaching art for over 20 years on how to create their very own masterpiece. Introducing students to the influences and techniques of famous artists and incorporating these methods in their own work.

Throughout courses, and depending on the material for that project, your child will explore the potential of different materials throughout each course.
