Hayward's Primary - Clay Beach Scene Project!

£50.00

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED - Educational, fun and informal learning each week.

Day: Wednesday 3rd June - 1st July 2026

Cost: Total of £50.00 for all 5 lessons  / Time: 3.30pm - 4.30pm / Open: Yr 1 - Yr 6

Contents: Children will create a stunning 2D clay sea side scene consisting of small village houses, a light house, boats, set of beach huts, bucket & spade, sea and sand. They will also be working on a large postcard to go with the clay piece. the clay piece will have supporting studies that will be made up of a sketch book.

Materials: Air dry clay, thick paper, acrylic paint, pencils and marker.

Learning outcomes: Children will learn about 2D and 3D form. Modelling clay, drawing prep studies and rendering them. Painting clay and creating detail within the beach scene.

Learning outcomes: Children will learn how to create a 3D sculpture whilst incorporating a painting using the influence of Hammersley to produce a jungle and animals within the jungle! Material

Emmylou is a professional artist who has been teaching art for over 20 years on how to create their very own masterpiece. Introducing students to the influences and techniques of famous artists and incorporating these methods in their own work.

Throughout courses, and depending on the material for that project, your child will explore the potential of different materials throughout each course.
